SALES MANAGER - PASSENGER TERMINAL EXPO

UKi Media & Events is an international specialist event organiser and publishing company based in Dorking, Surrey. With a team of over 90 people, we publish 13 magazines spanning the automotive, aerospace, marine, meteorological and logistics sectors, and we're proud to deliver world-class events and publications to specialist audiences globally. Our new central Dorking offices are collaborative, engaging, and built for people who want to do great work.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Dorking, with at least three days a week in the office.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
You are an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in new business development and exhibition sales. You're commercially driven, target-focused, and have excellent relationship-building skills. You thrive in dynamic environments, can manage multiple priorities, and have experience leading and developing sales teams.

You have a genuine interest in the aviation and airport sector and are comfortable using Salesforce and other sales management tools. Most importantly, you're someone who takes pride in delivering results and building strong partnerships.

THE ROLE:

As Sales Manager for PTE World, you'll manage day-to-day sales performance and work closely with the Portfolio Director and Senior Show Manager to implement sales strategies. You'll play a key role in ensuring the financial success of the event and driving growth across our global exhibitions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Manage day-to-day sales activity and deliver personal sales targets

  • Proactively drive show strategy across new and existing business

  • Execute campaign strategies to exceed exhibitor numbers and stand sales targets

  • Manage the rebook process and team

  • Canvas competitor and industry events to understand market trends and competitive landscape

  • Maintain and develop the prospect database using Salesforce

  • Deliver consistently high-quality communication with prospects, exhibitors, and partners

Brand & Market Leadership

  • Execute the event's brand strategy and ensure the event maintains its market relevance

  • Deliver the exhibitor marketing strategy and analyse results

  • Identify and manage profitable show features

  • Develop deep market understanding and stay informed of emerging trends

  • Manage key industry partnerships alongside the Portfolio Director

  • Support visitor acquisition strategy with appropriate demographics and content

Financial Management

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and reconcile CRM records

  • Provide weekly forecasts covering revenues, contribution, and budget status

  • Ensure the sales plan is delivered on target and within budget

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations to maintain budget while delivering excellent exhibitor and delegate experience

  • Collaborate with Marketing to achieve visitor targets

  • Support the wider show team with planning, delivery, and post-event responsibilities

  • Build and foster positive relationships with suppliers, associations, media, and commercial partners

ABOUT YOU:

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Proven new business sales experience

  • Previous exhibition or events industry experience

  • Strong commercial awareness with a target-driven approach

  • Comfortable using Salesforce and sales management tools

  • Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills

  • Able to manage, motivate, and develop junior sales team members

  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

  • Strong interest in aviation and the airport sector
