Sales Manager (Public Security)
Summary
Sells large, complex government security systems across APAC, focusing on public security, airports, police and defence projects worth over USD 10 million.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across APAC
- Identify, shape and close large, complex government security projects
- Develop account and market strategies for public security, airports, police and defence-related customers
- Build strong relationships with government stakeholders, partners and system integrators
- Work closely with bid, technical and business teams to develop winning proposals
- Lead commercial negotiations, strategic partnerships and deal closure
- Own order intake, margins, pipeline development and sales reporting
- Maintain compliance with internal governance, ethics and sales processes
Requirements
- 8–12 years of relevant sales or business development experience
- Strong APAC export sales exposure, preferably covering Brunei, Japan or Indonesia
- Proven hunter profile, with approximately 80% new business development and 20% account management
- Track record of personally selling projects worth at least USD 10 million with contract periods of 2 years or longer
- Experience selling complex, end-to-end government security or defence-related systems
- Relevant solution exposure in one or more of the following: C2, C4 or C4ISR command-and-control systems TETRA, LTE or mission-critical communications , Cybersecurity, including data protection, encryption, identity management and critical infrastructure security Intelligence and information-management systems.
- Sensor integration and surveillance systems Digital identity, biometrics, secure government IDs, payment security or digital trust solutions
- Experience serving police, security agencies, airports, border authorities, defence organisations or adjacent government customers
- Strong knowledge of the public security ecosystem, including partners, system integrators and government procurement processes
- Proven ability to sell and lead complete projects, rather than only individual products or services
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
