NewWhat You'll Do:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will focus on developing strong customer relationships. Our customer base is broad and can include local farmers, primary producers and trade customers and the focus of your role is to provide a memorable experience for all customers either in store or over the telephone. Tasks are varied because no two days are the same in a rural retail store and you will work across a variety of activities including;
- Assist customers with product questions and pricing, providing clear and friendly service in-store and by phone.
- Manage inventory, order goods, receive deliveries, and arrange dispatches using store systems to ensure stock accuracy.
- Process counter sales accurately, handle payments, and answer customer inquiries.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
- Support promotional activities, setting up signage and displays to boost product visibility.
- Keep the store tidy and welcoming and greet all customers warmly.
- Load/unload trucks, unpack deliveries, and prepare orders for dispatch with care.
- Occasionally deliver products directly to farms, ensuring timely and professional service.
What You'll Bring:
- You must demonstrate a passion for customer service as well as a positive approach and the determination to succeed
- Ideally you will have exposure to or a strong passion in farming and agriculture with the enthusiasm to learn about new products
- Previous success in a retail sales or customer service role is highly advantageous
- You will be a self-motivated person capable of nurturing and sustaining strong customer relationships with the ability to follow through and “get the job done” in a fast-paced environment
- You will be keen to learn all aspects of retail operations and sales, and be confident using computer software systems such as SAP
- You will have a current driver’s license and ideally a forklift ticket (Desirable)
