The Sales Project Manager position is responsible for maintaining high product knowledge for the sales staff, controlling the flow of custom quotes to presales engineering, and managing high-value projects. This position acts as a resource for the sales team for questions on custom fixtures and can determine whether a custom fixture quote is viable for engineering and production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist sales in product knowledge gaps.
- Responsible for outlining project timelines and relaying information to scheduling department.
- Outlining and managing projects from quoting to sales and then released into manufacturing.
- Assist Engineering and Quotes team with development of product.
- Responsible for adherence to strict design requirements.
- Executing against customer expectations.
- Keeping projects on time and on budget.
- Communicating to sales and customers project setbacks, design challenges, and design change requirements.
- Responsible for exploration of new materials and techniques as it relates to custom products through the residential channel.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of project management experience preferred.
- PMP Certification preferred, but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and lighting specs.
- Working knowledge of skilled trades helpful.
- Must have general construction knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain complex information thoroughly and effectively to others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong ability to build rapport and trust with others within and out of the company.
- Deliver clear and concise information.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
