Sales Representative

APD Singapore, a leading independent book distributor in Southeast Asia is seeking to appoint a Field Sales Representative for the Singapore market servicing existing clients and new opportunities. This position is open to applicants able to work diligently and constructively with an established market leader. Whilst the job may suit someone with existing book-selling experience we will consider all applications on their merit and existing experience.

Roles& Responsibilities:

• Report to Sales Manager, who will set targets and suggest sales activities
• Your key responsibilities include managing retailer submissions, stock control with customers and coordinating events with colleagues.
• Maintain existing excellent relationships with customers
• Search out sales leads with new and current retailers including online opportunities for e-commerce.

Requirements:

• Good interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude to work initiative and energy
• Some computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office products and/or willingness to learn
• Experience of the book industry, librarianship or education an advantageous
