Sales Representative
Description
URGE FITNESS is hiring a Sales Representative to help grow our membership base and support daily club operations.
This role is best for someone who likes sales, likes accountability, and is comfortable being the responsible person on duty. If you only want to sit at the front desk or avoid sales goals, this is not the right position.
If you are competitive, organized, coachable, and willing to help lead the club during your shift, this can be a strong opportunity.
This is a sales-first role. You will be responsible for following up with leads, booking appointments, giving club tours, presenting membership options, and closing new memberships. This is also a lead-on-duty role. When scheduled, Sales Representatives are expected to help oversee the club, support staff, maintain standards, and communicate with management.
The right candidate is competitive, confident on the phone, comfortable with sales goals, and responsible enough to help keep the club running smoothly during their shift.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who-
-Wants to sell, not just “work at a gym”
-Is comfortable making outbound calls and following up with leads
-Can confidently talk to prospects in person and over the phone
-Is competitive, coachable, and motivated by goals
-Can handle rejection and keep moving
-Can take ownership of the club while on duty
-Communicates professionally with members, staff, and managers
-Notices problems and follows through instead of waiting to be told
-Can help maintain cleanliness, order, and accountability during a shift
-Can work evenings and weekends as needed
Prior sales experience is preferred. Experience in fitness, retail, hospitality, customer service, phone sales, shift leadership, or commission-based roles is a plus.
What You Will Do:
-Sales & Membership Growth
-Sell URGE FITNESS memberships, services, and programs
-Contact new, past, and existing leads by phone, text, and email
-Schedule appointments and follow up to improve show rates
-Conduct club tours and membership presentations
-Explain membership options, pricing, promotions, and policies clearly
-Overcome objections and close sales professionally
-Track lead activity, appointments, follow-up, and sales activity in the CRM
-Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals
-Follow URGE FITNESS sales scripts, systems, and ethical standards
-Shift Leadership & Club Operations
Sales Representatives are also expected to act as shift leaders while on duty. Depending on the schedule, you may be working alongside other managers or may be the primary lead in the club during your shift.
Responsibilities include:
-Overseeing general club operations during assigned shifts
-Helping ensure the facility is clean, organized, and member-ready
-Monitoring the front desk, fitness floor, bathrooms, locker rooms, and common areas
-Supporting and redirecting staff when needed
-Communicating shift updates, issues, and follow-up items to other managers
-Helping ensure staff are staying on task and following club expectations
-Addressing basic member questions, concerns, and service issues professionally
-Escalating serious issues to the appropriate manager
-Coordinating with club leadership on appointments, staffing, facility needs, and member concerns
-Helping maintain a professional, high-energy, and accountable club environment
This is not a passive desk job. You are expected to sell, lead, communicate, and help protect the member experience.
What Success Looks Like:
Successful Sales Representatives are consistent with follow-up, strong on the phone, confident during tours, and accountable for sales results.
They also take ownership of the club while on duty. That means they notice when something is dirty, when staff need direction, when a member needs help, or when another manager needs to be updated.
You will receive coaching, feedback, and sales process support, but results and follow-through matter.
Schedule:
This role requires flexible availability based on club traffic, lead flow, appointments, and operating needs.
Availability needed may include:
-Evenings
-Weekends
-High-traffic club hours
-Scheduled sales appointments
-Shifts where you may be the lead person on duty
Compensation:
This position includes a base hourly pay plus commission and bonus opportunities.
Sales Representatives are expected to meet a minimum monthly membership sales goal. Once the minimum monthly goal is achieved, team members become eligible to earn commission on qualifying memberships sold. Additional bonus opportunities may also be available for Sales Representatives who exceed monthly sales goals and deliver strong overall performance.
Actual earnings vary based on individual sales performance, consistency, follow-up, closing ability, schedule, lead flow, and monthly results.
Pay range: $15-$20 per hour
Commission opportunity: Available on qualifying membership sales after the minimum monthly goal is achieved
Bonus opportunity: Additional bonuses may be available for exceeding monthly sales goals
