Job Description:

Wilsonart Western Canada, a leading supplier of decorative surfacing materials, cabinet hardware, and building products, is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The successful candidate will have experience selling products within the cabinet, millwork, building products, or related industries and a demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and drive sales growth throughout the territory.

This role is responsible for promoting, selling, and marketing Wilsonart and complementary product offerings to a variety of customers and decision-makers, including fabricators, OEM accounts, builders, kitchen and bath dealers, millwork companies, contractors, architects, designers, and other specification influencers. The Sales Representative will identify new business opportunities, maintain existing accounts, and support specification efforts within the design and construction community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage territory activities effectively to achieve sales and growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans and strategies.
  • Forecast sales and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Create demand with fabricators, cabinet makers, millwork companies, kitchen and bath dealers, general contractors, builders, and multi-family developers.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new customer relationships while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal operations, logistics, customer service, and leadership teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal stakeholders to support business initiatives and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within Salesforce CRM.
  • Stay informed on Wilsonart products, competitive offerings, and industry trends.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and prospecting activities throughout the assigned territory.
  • Travel as required within the territory, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience.
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the decorative surfaces, building products, cabinetry, millwork, construction, or design industries.
  • Knowledge of specification sales, channel sales, and distribution networks.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards and construction practices.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant industry experience will be considered.

Working Conditions

Physical Requirements

  • Regular travel throughout the territory.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move product samples and materials weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

Work Environment

  • Combination of customer site visits, business development activities, trade events, and home office or office-based work.

Compensation

  • The target total compensation range for this position is CAD $90,000 - $120,000 annually, inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. In addition to compensation, employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and other company-sponsored programs.
