Sales - Social Initiatives Program Manager, ANZSA (12 months contract)
Summary
On a 12-month contract, this role coordinates Apple's Social Initiatives programs across Australia, New Zealand, and South Asia: building partnerships with Indigenous and community organisations, preparing briefings and impact reports, and connecting values-led programs to Apple's commercial and go-to-market priorities.
The people here at Apple don’t just create products — they create the kind of wonder that’s revolutionised entire industries. It’s the diversity of those people and their ideas that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do, from amazing technology to industry-leading environmental efforts. Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. Apple’s Values and Social Initiatives work represents a deep commitment to equity, community, and lasting positive impact in the regions where we live and operate. But this isn’t work that sits apart from our commercial ambitions — it’s central to them. Across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and South Asia, our Values Market Development team builds meaningful partnerships and programs that reflect Apple’s Values, strengthening our brand, deepening our relevance with customers and communities, and creating commercial opportunity through purpose-led engagement. The Social Initiatives Program Manager is responsible for advancing strategic partnerships and driving programs within Apple’s Social Initiatives portfolio — with a clear line of sight to how this work supports Apple’s market positioning and business development outcomes in the region. You will bring strong project management discipline, a genuine understanding of the social impact landscape, and the commercial awareness to connect values-led work to Apple’s strategic priorities.
Coordinate execution of Social Initiatives programs across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and South Asia — identifying where Apple’s technology and ecosystem can support and extend the impact of the current suite of programs. Prepare briefing materials, partnership assessments, impact reports, and strategic documents, ensuring all materials articulate both social impact outcomes and commercial relevance. Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with Indigenous / First Nations / minority communities, partner organisations, and key accounts. Identify partnership opportunities that align community needs with Apple’s platform capabilities and go-to-market priorities. Contribute to the team’s planning and reporting cadence — progress updates, opportunity identification, and market intelligence that informs business development strategy. Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Communications to ensure alignment between Social Initiatives programming and Apple’s broader commercial objectives in the region.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate with relevant experience in social impact, community development, public policy, Indigenous affairs, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, or program coordination within NGO, government, or corporate responsibility settings.
- Your functional expertise lies at the intersection of partnership development, social impact, and commercial strategy. You have a background in economic policy, social justice, or community development — and you understand how purpose-driven initiatives can be designed and delivered in ways that create value for communities and for the organisations that invest in them. You bring strong written and verbal communication skills and can translate complex social and community issues into clear strategic narratives for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- You have experience working with or within Indigenous, First Nations, or minority communities, and you approach this work with cultural humility, deep listening, and a commitment to community-led outcomes. You understand the importance of trust-based relationships and long-term engagement over transactional interactions — while also recognising that sustainable partnerships require mutual value and clear strategic intent from all parties.
- You can manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a high attention to detail — from preparing business cases to coordinating stakeholder meetings and supporting event delivery. You are comfortable working across government, non-profit, and corporate environments, and you bring broader strategic perspective to everything you do, including an ability to assess opportunities for their potential long-term value to both community outcomes and Apple’s market position.
- You have a track record in NGO, community development, social enterprise, or corporate responsibility settings, and you understand how to navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems. You are skilled at meeting management and facilitation, and you bring strong interpersonal relationship-building capabilities that allow you to foster trust and collaboration across diverse groups — from community elders to commercial partners.
- You understand what it means to represent Apple’s Values in market. You recognise that our Social Initiatives work is not separate from our commercial success — it is a driver of it. You are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to meaningful social impact at scale across ANZ and South Asia, and you bring enough commercial awareness to understand how this work strengthens Apple’s brand, deepens customer and community trust, and supports the Values Market Development team’s broader growth objectives.
