About the Client
This client established Certification, Industrial & E-Commerce group (AUD 15M) based in Australia, employed through Outsourced Staff. You'll work closely with the Director and be supported throughout your engagement by Outsourced Staff's Client & Staff Success Manager. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Sales Support & Business Development Specialist to own the certification course sales pipeline for a growing Certification, Industrial & E-Commerce group based in Australia. You'll be the first point of contact for every inbound inquiry, keeping quotes, orders and long-cycle approvals moving so no warm lead is ever left unanswered.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inbound Inquiry & Sales Coordination

Monitor the generic inquiries inbox daily and action promptly

Provide a call-first response to every inbound inquiry

Qualify leads and book seats on open certification courses

Take and process orders, typically ranging from AUD 2,000 to AUD 20,000 in value
2. Quoting & Pipeline Follow-Up

Send quotes and follow up on all outstanding quotes

Follow up on every quoted inquiry within one week
-
Manage long-cycle follow-up on defence company approvals, which can take up to four months

Keep the Trello board accurate and up to date, especially the bookings tab
3. Course & Account Coordination

Drive seat fills for the annual Perth course

Absorb the documented tasks currently handled by the Newcastle-based contractor (approximately 20 hours/week)

Handle overflow inquiries from the e-commerce store
4. Backup & Business Development Tasks (quiet periods)

Database cleaning and hygiene
-
Lapsed lead re-engagement campaigns (e.g. a "we're still here" outreach to the last ~3,000 leads)

Product self-education across all five certification courses

LinkedIn outbound prospecting (training provided; later phase of the role)
5. Marketing Support (secondary, as capacity allows)

General marketing support during a current maternity-leave gap

Assist with catalogues and social media management

Contribute to blog articles related to the certification courses
Key Skills & Experience
-
Strong inside sales, sales support, or customer service experience
-
Experience processing orders and quotes with high accuracy, ideally in the AUD 2,000–20,000 range
-
Experience using CRM or task-board tools (e.g. Trello, HubSpot, Zoho)

Confident, professional phone manner for inbound and outbound calls

Experience managing long sales or approval cycles (corporate, government, or defence procurement a plus)

Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential

Advanced organisational and time management skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities across sales, admin and occasional marketing tasks

Minimum 2–3 years experience in a similar sales support, inside sales, or coordination role

Experience with e-commerce order support or basic marketing/social media coordination (nice to have)
