Sales Support Executive
Job Description
- Check tariffs and/or coordinate with Local Pricing, Procurement, overseas offices and agents to obtain relevant rates;
- Prepare quotations based on instructions provided by Sales and ensure timely submission to Sales/customers;
- Follow up on quotations with existing customers or Sales for new customers to obtain indication or feedback, and manage the process in the Ticketing System;
- Provide the Pricing/Procurement team with detailed feedback from customers;
- Prepare Job Instruction Forms, Customer SOPs and cost summaries, and hand over to Operations;
- Assist Sales or coordinate with Operations staff to update customer reports when required;
- Handle escalations from Operations regarding discrepancies between actual overseas invoices and cost summaries;
- Handle escalations from Operations on commercial items covered in the quotation;
- Utilise software solutions such as the Ticketing System, Tariff and Rate Tools;
- Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Tertiary education in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent;
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in the freight forwarding business or related fields;
- Prior regional exposure, with experience in handling local tenders, spot quotations, and liaising with overseas offices/agents for shipment activation;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Good team player;
- Possess a positive and customer-oriented mindset.
