Position Summary:

The Salesforce Developer (CPQ Focus) will own Salesforce CPQ, pricing, quoting, and revenue-automation workstreams for Open Systems. The role builds, optimizes, and supports the Quote-to-Cash configuration that underpins Open Systems' pricing, discounting, approval, subscription, and renewal processes.

This individual works alongside a Core Platform-focused Salesforce Developer and plays a direct role in the migration, particularly the pricing and quoting components of the rebuild.


Strategic Responsibilities

CPQ & Revenue Automation:

  • Design, build, and maintain Salesforce CPQ configuration — products, pricing, bundles, and discount schedules.
  • Develop and optimize quoting workflows, approval processes, and subscription/renewal logic.
  • Support CTNG migration workstreams involving pricing, quoting, and contract-to-cash processes.
  • Deliver CPQ-related solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow.
  • Ensure CPQ configuration is scalable, maintainable, and performant as product and pricing complexity grows.
  • Establish CPQ development standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to release planning, deployment activities, Agile/Scrum delivery processes, and the creation of technical and solution documentation
  • Create and maintain CPQ technical documentation, pricing logic, and configuration standards.
  • Partner with external vendors during CPQ-specific knowledge transfer activities.
  • Participate in code and solution reviews for CPQ-related work.
  • Assess CPQ-related technical debt and define remediation plans.
  • Identify opportunities to automate pricing, quoting, and approval processes.
  • Evaluate emerging Salesforce CPQ and revenue-automation capabilities.
  • Support strategic platform modernization initiatives related to Quote-to-Cash.

Experience & Qualifications

Required:

  • 6 - 8 years Salesforce development experience, with meaningful hands-on Salesforce CPQ experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce CPQ — product/price rules, bundles, discount schedules, approval workflows.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Apex.
  • Working expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Flow.
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise Quote-to-Cash implementations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ configuration and customization.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex pricing, configuration, quoting, and contracting issues.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce CPQ with downstream business systems.


Preferred

  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification.
  • Platform Developer I Certification.
  • Experience working in SaaS or subscription business environments.
  • Exposure to Revenue Operations and billing/invoicing ecosystems.
