Salesforce Developer
Summary
Senior Salesforce engineer on an 11-month contract, building a new Salesforce-based digital platform for an enterprise Digital Modernisation Program — designing Apex and Lightning Web Components applications, Service Cloud solutions, integrations, data migration and legacy decommissioning. Hybrid role based in Sydney (2 days office / 3 from home).
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll work closely with a Principal Engineer and wider product, engineering and architecture teams to deliver a new flagship Salesforce-based digital platform, including application development, integrations, data migration and legacy system decommissioning.
About the role
You’ll be responsible for the technical design and delivery of Salesforce solutions across customer-facing applications and complex service journeys.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop scalable Salesforce applications, data models and integrations.
- Build and enhance solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Work across Salesforce Service Cloud and customer-facing portals.
- Design and implement integrations using Salesforce APIs and established integration patterns.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, technical design and solution planning.
- Develop, test and deploy high-quality software using modern engineering and DevOps practices.
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot defects and contribute to quality assurance.
- Support data migration, go-live, system transition and legacy platform decommissioning.
- Collaborate with product managers, BAs, designers, architects and business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.
Essential:
- Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience, particularly Apex and LWC.
- Experience delivering multiple new Salesforce platforms or application builds.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform limits, performance and security.
- Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and customer-facing portals.
- Experience designing Salesforce integrations using APIs and standard integration patterns.
- Exposure to MuleSoft or similar integration platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps, source-driven development and CI/CD, ideally using Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of Public Sector Solutions (PSS) and government/regulatory Salesforce environments.
- Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on quality and delivery.
- Experience with OmniStudio, including OmniScripts, DataRaptors and Integration Procedures.
- Advanced Salesforce Flow and automation experience.
- Exposure to Agentforce / Einstein and responsible AI implementation.
- Strong Apex testing and enterprise deployment practices.
Rate is between $1,000 to $1,200 + Super depending on experience
