Summary
NomuPay, a cross-border payments company, is hiring a Salesforce Developer in Manchester to build and scale its business-critical Salesforce platform. Day to day: hands-on Apex and Lightning Web Components development, declarative configuration, REST API integrations, and maturing testing, source control and CI/CD practices with Product, Operations, Risk, Sales and Technology stakeholders.
About NomuPay
Founded in 2021, NomuPay is on a mission to be the world’s preferred global payments partner.
We help businesses thrive at scale by simplifying the complexities of cross-border payments and empowering merchants to expand globally with ease. Through strategic acquisitions, including Total Processing in 2023, we’ve built an all-in-one payments solution that brings together pay-ins, payouts and acquiring capabilities through a single, seamless platform.
Today, we support businesses across multiple markets and industries, from e-commerce and marketplaces to enterprises with complex payment requirements.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Salesforce Developer to help us build, evolve and scale a business-critical Salesforce platform.
The Role
This is a hands-on development role where you’ll work across both Salesforce development and configuration, choosing the right technical approach to solve business problems.
You’ll work closely with teams across Product, Operations, Risk, Sales and Technology, turning business requirements into scalable, secure and reliable Salesforce solutions.
You’ll also play an important role in helping us mature our Salesforce engineering practices, including development standards, testing, source control, CI/CD and release management.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build, test and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions using both programmatic and declarative capabilities.
- Develop high-quality Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC), while maintaining and modernising legacy components where appropriate.
- Configure and enhance Salesforce using custom objects and fields, page layouts, metadata, Flow, validation rules and other declarative automation.
- Build, maintain and optimise secure REST API integrations between Salesforce and third-party applications.
- Monitor integrations, troubleshoot issues, implement effective error handling and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Work closely with Product, Operations, Risk, Sales and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical and reliable solutions.
- Own development through the full lifecycle, from technical design and development through to testing, release, production support and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to a robust Salesforce engineering practice through source control, automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD and effective deployment processes.
- Apply strong data, access and security principles across the Salesforce platform.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve development speed and quality while maintaining accountability for testing, security, code quality and production readiness.
What We're Looking For
- 5–7 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, with a strong track record of delivering production solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical experience with Apex, triggers, asynchronous processing, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SOQL/SOSL and Flow.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce development best practices and the ability to combine code with declarative configuration.
- Demonstrable experience across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Strong experience building and supporting REST API integrations with third-party systems.
- Good understanding of Salesforce governor limits, platform performance and the Salesforce security model.
- Experience with permission sets, profiles, roles, sharing rules and secure access design.
- Experience with source-driven development and Salesforce CI/CD, including automated testing, code review, deployment and release processes.
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants to improve development efficiency and quality.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II; Platform Developer certification is also valued where supported by strong hands-on experience.
- Certifications in Platform Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect or Platform Integration Architect.
- Experience with Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI and Git-based workflows.
- Experience with modern CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions.
- Experience with integration middleware or event-driven integrations.
- Previous experience working within financial services, fintech or payments.
- Experience improving Salesforce engineering or delivery practices, including mentoring or coaching colleagues.
- Exposure to Salesforce DevOps and release-management platforms.
