Salesforce Lead Developer
Summary
Lead Salesforce developer at a small Australian fintech building a Salesforce-native advice platform for financial planners. You own the technical side end to end: writing bulkified Apex, building Flows and LWCs, designing data models, integrating external APIs, and guiding developers and deployments.
Salary: $150,000 per year
About us
We’re a growing Australian fintech building a Salesforce-native platform for financial planners, paraplanners and advice licensees. Our product runs the entire advice process inside Salesforce: client fact-find, goals and scope of advice, strategy and product recommendations, modelling, compliance review, Statements of Advice, and ongoing fee arrangements. AI is built into the workflow throughout, helping advisers and paraplanners work faster while staying compliant.
We’re a small, fast-moving team working with advice practices and licensees across Australia, and we’re growing.
The role
We’re looking for a hands-on Salesforce Lead Developer to own the technical side of the platform. You’ll turn designs and specs into well-built solutions, set the standard for how we build, and be the go-to person for technical and design decisions.
This is an all-rounder role. One day you’ll be writing Apex for a fee calculation, the next you’ll be building a flow to manage a client’s annual review, and the day after you’ll be designing the data model for a new advice feature. If you like variety and want your work to show up directly in how advisers serve their clients, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll do
Design and build solutions across Apex, Flow and Lightning Web Components
Write clean, bulkified, well-tested Apex, including triggers, async processing and test classes
Build and maintain screen flows, record-triggered flows and Flow Orchestration to drive the advice workflow
Develop LWC components to a consistent design system (SLDS 2)
Design data models for clients, entities (SMSFs, trusts, companies), assets, risk profiles, strategies and fees
Build and support integrations with investment research data, platform fee data and other external APIs
Build features that support regulatory obligations such as Best Interests Duty, fee disclosure and ongoing fee renewals
Review code, guide other developers and help shape our development standards
Work closely with product and business analysts to turn advice processes into working features
Help plan releases and manage deployments across multiple client orgs
What you’ll bring
5+ years of Salesforce development experience
Strong Apex skills and a solid grasp of governor limits, security (sharing, CRUD/FLS, USER_MODE) and testing
Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce Flow
LWC development experience
Experience designing data models for complex business processes
Comfortable with SFDX, source control and deployment tooling
Able to work independently in a remote team and communicate clearly
Salesforce Platform Developer I (Platform Developer II highly regarded)
Nice to have
Experience in financial planning, wealth management or superannuation
An understanding of the advice process: fact-find, Statements of Advice, implementation and annual reviews
Familiarity with the Australian regulatory environment (AFSL, Best Interests Duty, fee consent and ongoing fee arrangements)
Experience with Financial Services Cloud
Managed package or ISV/AppExchange experience (namespaces, 2GP)
Experience with Agentforce, Einstein or AI integrations
Experience leading or mentoring developers
Why join us
Fully remote
A real say in how the product is built, not just tickets off a backlog
Work on modern Salesforce: LWC, Flow Orchestration, AI and agents
Small team, low bureaucracy, quick decisions
Help shape how Australians receive financial advice
