Salesforce Product Owner / Product Manager
We are looking for a Salesforce Product Owner / Product Manager to support business and technology initiatives across Salesforce and related commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms.
This role requires a strong combination of hands-on Salesforce experience, product ownership/product management capabilities, client partnership skills, and consulting mindset. The person should be able to work closely with client stakeholders, understand business goals, shape product vision or roadmap where needed, translate priorities into actionable backlog items, and partner with delivery teams to implement scalable business solutions.
The role can be positioned either as a Product Owner focused on backlog ownership and Agile delivery, or as a Product Manager with broader responsibility for product direction, roadmap alignment, stakeholder engagement, and value realization.
Experience in Life Sciences GTM processes is considered a strong advantage, especially where Salesforce or adjacent platforms are used to support commercial, sales, field force, customer engagement, medical/commercial operations, or CRM transformation.
The ideal candidate is a Salesforce-aware Product Owner or Product Manager who can combine product thinking, client consulting, business ownership, and practical platform understanding. They should be confident working with senior stakeholders, shaping priorities, and helping delivery teams translate product goals into high-quality Salesforce and COTS-based solutions.
Responsibilities
- Act as a Product Owner / Product Manager for Salesforce-based and adjacent COTS platform initiatives
- Partner with client stakeholders to understand business objectives, product vision, operational challenges, and success metrics
- Define, refine, and communicate product priorities, roadmap elements, backlog items, and delivery expectations
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution priorities
- Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business value, delivery feasibility, and stakeholder expectations
- Support product discovery, requirement clarification workshops, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, release planning, and adoption discussions
- Collaborate with Salesforce Architects, Developers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, and client-side product/business teams
- Apply practical Salesforce knowledge to support discussions around configuration, customization, integration, automation, reporting, and user experience
- Help evaluate how Salesforce capabilities align with external or integrated COTS platforms
- Identify risks, dependencies, assumptions, business impacts, and cross-platform considerations
- Serve as a trusted client advisor by bringing a structured, consultative, and partnership-driven approach
Requirements
- Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role within Salesforce-related programs
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce platforms, such as: Sales Cloud; Service Cloud; Experience Cloud; Salesforce Platform; Flows, reports, dashboards, custom objects, or configuration
- Ability to translate business goals into Salesforce capabilities, delivery requirements, and product priorities
- Experience working with enterprise platforms or COTS solutions
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices, backlog management, prioritization, user story creation, acceptance criteria, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder demos
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Consulting mindset: ability to structure ambiguity, ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and recommend practical solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience working in distributed, cross-functional delivery teams
Nice to have
- Experience with Life Sciences GTM, commercial operations, CRM transformation, field force effectiveness, sales operations, or customer engagement
- Exposure to platforms such as: Veeva, Trueblue, IQVIA
- Experience in regulated, compliance-heavy, or enterprise environments
- Salesforce certifications, such as: Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Business Analyst, Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant
- Understanding of data flows, integrations, reporting, analytics, or consent/customer engagement processes within Salesforce ecosystems
