Summary

Senior Salesforce Solution Architect at a consulting firm: owns end-to-end solution design across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data 360 and Agentforce, leads presales (discovery workshops, RFPs, demos), guides delivery and mentors/upskills the team. Requires 5+ years of Salesforce architecture experience.

Solution architecture and direction

  • Own the end-to-end solution design for Salesforce programmes across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data 360 and Agentforce.
  • Set the technical direction and architecture standards, including data models, integration patterns, security, scalability and governance.
  • Design agentic solutions with Agentforce and AIforce: agents, topics, actions, grounding in Data 360, and trust and guardrail controls.
  • Translate business goals into roadmaps that improve customer and staff experience, with clear success measures.
  • Act as design authority during delivery and stay hands-on in the build where needed.

Presales and consulting

  • Lead discovery workshops with business and IT stakeholders to understand pain points and opportunities.
  • Shape solutions for proposals, RFP responses, estimates and statements of work.
  • Build and present compelling demos that show the value of Agentforce, Data 360 and the wider Salesforce platform.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to client leaders on Salesforce strategy and AI adoption.

Delivery and business outcomes

  • Guide delivery teams from design through to go-live and adoption.
  • Track and report on outcomes such as reduced handling time, higher self-service and deflection, better CSAT/NPS and improved staff productivity.
  • Identify quick wins and longer-term improvements that create visible, measurable change.

Team leadership and capability building

  • Upskill the internal team on new Salesforce capabilities, including Agentforce, AIforce and Data 360.
  • Lead the team in building demos, proofs of concept (POCs) and reusable assets and accelerators.
  • Mentor consultants and developers, review designs, and help them grow toward architect roles.
  • Keep up with Salesforce releases and Dreamforce announcements and share what matters with the team and clients.

Required experience and skills

  • Minimum 5 years of Salesforce architecture experience as a Solution or Technical Architect, plus a strong overall Salesforce background.
  • Proven track record of designing and building Salesforce solutions end to end, from discovery to go-live.
  • Strong working knowledge or hands-on experience of:
  • Agentforce / Agentforce 360: agent design, topics and actions, Agent Builder, Agent Script, testing and monitoring
  • AIforce: Salesforce's new layer for bringing data, agents and permissions into tools such as Slack and Claude
  • Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud): ingestion, harmonisation, identity resolution, segmentation, zero-copy and grounding AI
  • Service Cloud: case management, omni-channel, knowledge, digital engagement, field service awareness
  • Sales Cloud: lead-to-cash, opportunity management, forecasting, sales productivity
  • Solid platform foundations: data modelling, security and sharing, Flow, Apex/LWC awareness, integration (APIs, MuleSoft, MCP) and DevOps.
  • Presales and consultative experience: discovery, solution shaping, estimates, demos and client presentations.
  • Demonstrable impact on customer and/or staff experience, with outcomes you can describe and measure.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or upskilling teams and running demos and POCs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage executives, business users and technical teams alike.
  • A growth mindset: keen to learn and adopt new Salesforce capabilities as they are released
