Salesforce Test Analyst
Summary
Senior test analyst owning quality on a live Salesforce platform in post-go-live stabilisation for a large ASX-listed essential services business (engaged via recruiter Allura Partners). Day to day: triaging production defects, end-to-end release and integration testing across Salesforce, field ops and ERP, and building regression packs.
A large, ASX-listed essential services business operating nationally, with a significant field workforce and a Salesforce platform at the centre of how customer orders are managed. The platform is live and the business is now focused on getting it stable and reliable for the people who depend on it every day.
About the role
You'll be the senior test and quality voice on a Salesforce platform in post go-live stabilisation. Reporting to the platform lead, you'll work across production issues and an active release cycle, testing fixes end to end and bringing structure to how changes get into production. The role touches order management, field operations and invoicing, so what you catch matters well beyond the platform team.
Duties / Key responsibilities
- Triage and reproduce production defects, working out root cause across Salesforce and connected systems
- Test fixes and releases end to end, from order creation through field operations to invoicing
- Build and maintain a regression pack that stops the same issues resurfacing
- Set entry and exit criteria for releases and call it when something isn't ready
- Test integrations between Salesforce, the field operations platform and the ERP
- Support release windows, including some evenings and weekends
- Work directly with developers, BAs and business users to get fixes right first time
Who you are
You've done hypercare before. You know what a platform looks like in the months after go-live, and none of it will surprise you.
You don't need a test plan handed to you. You'll work out where the risk sits, test accordingly, and tell people what you've found in plain language.
You can hold a line. When a release isn't ready, you'll say so, even when there's pressure to push it out.
You stay level when things are noisy, and you're fine with the odd late night or weekend when a release needs it.
Benefits
- Real ownership over quality on a platform the business runs on
- Direct access to the hiring manager, with very little layering- Visible impact in fewer incidents and cleaner releases- Broad exposure across Salesforce, field operations and ERP integration
- Hybrid working with a Melbourne base
Skills and experience
- Extensive hands-on Salesforce testing experience- Hypercare or post go-live stabilisation experience on a production Salesforce platform
- Strong integration and end to end testing across CRM, operational and ERP systems
- Experience building regression suites and defining release quality gates
- Confident with production defect triage and root cause analysis- Clear communicator with both technical and business teams
- Experience with Jira, Xray or similar test management tools
- Salesforce test automation experience (Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, Tosca or similar)
- Exposure to JD Edwards or field service and route operations platforms
