Sample weighting staff - Chrom Lab
Samples Handling & Weighing:
- Receive homogenized samples from the samples grinding staffs samples Weighing Leader
- Check and record samples status: sample code, date received, sample type,...
- Weigh samples into suitable containers following the specified analytical portion for each test.
- Label test portion containers clearly with sample IDs and analysis information.
- Record weights accurately in a weight records/worksheets or LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
- Store samples in the right place and control the storage conditions, and/or deliver to the respective Lab timely.
- Store sample tubes after weighing in the right location, under the specified storage conditions, and in the required order.
Support and Teamwork:
- Support the Lab technician in preparing samples for testing
- Coordinate with samples grinding staffs and lab teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Participate in continuous improvement activities for sample preparation efficiency and accuracy
- Report to his/her leaders if any errors or abnormalities are detected
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Lab Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager
Quality, Compliance, Safety and Housekeeping:
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and avoid cross-contamination: use gloves, clamps, weighing paper,…
- Handle samples carefully to prevent contamination, loss, or mix-up.
- Ensure traceability of all sample preparation steps
- Calibrate and verify balances daily according to internal quality procedures.
- Clean the balances and the sample weighing area, ensure them are kept clean and organized
- Implement regulations on chemical safety, fire prevention and fighting and labor hygiene.
- Minimum educational qualification: High school graduation or equivalent
- Basic understanding of laboratory practices, weighing techniques
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and responsibility in handling samples
- Ability to work under time constraints and follow standard procedures strictly
