SAMPOERNA ACADEMY - ELEMENTARY HOMEROOM TEACHER - AY 27/28

The Primary Homeroom Teacher creates a safe, engaging environment and providing pastoral care. They aim to enhance students' intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, equipping them with skills for academic and societal success.

• Design, facilitate and manage learning activities, assessments, classroom management and student engagement to create a safe and stimulating educational setting.
• Provide pastoral care and support the holistic development of students in grades 1 and/or 2, ensuring a nurturing atmosphere that promotes their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
• Serve as a positive role model for students, upholding the school's mission and maintaining high standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents

• Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and/or relevant subject (English)
• Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience, preferably as the lead teacher, with at least 1 year in a comparable position (grade and subjects).
• Experience teaching primary students in first-language English; writing development and reading comprehension development are preferable.
• Cambridge IGCSE curriculum experience is required.
