Summary

The sanitation technician role is responsible for daily cleaning and sanitation of assigned processing areas, equipment, and the facility. This position is responsible for the completion of all necessary assigned department paperwork. This is a Monday-Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follows all safety rules and regulations, including the use of all personal protective equipment and chemical guidelines, and immediately notifies supervisor of any unsafe condition or equipment.
  • Understands and follows all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring cleaning specifications are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Cleans and sanitize food processing areas and equipment as needed.
  • Stock GMP supplies, hair nets, ear plug, hand soap, paper towels and dump trash and recycling
  • Clean break room, production office, keep garbage compactor area clear from debris, pick up trash outside surrounding facility.
  • Initial daily sanitation schedule of completed tasks, complete food defense weekly checklist and count for tools in toolbox register at end of shift.
  • Manage supply crib inventory any request will need to be submitted in a timely manner to warehouse.
  • Collect water samples once a week, calibrate pH meter three times a week to be compliance with the city of Hood River.
