Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Cloud Developer with strong knowledge of SAP technologies and Generative AI.

The candidate will be responsible for developing modern, cloud-ready SAP applications by integrating ABAP Cloud with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI services, APIs, and enterprise systems.

The role involves building AI-powered SAP solutions, developing Agentic AI workflows, implementing RAG pipelines, and integrating intelligent AI capabilities into SAP business processes.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in developing AI-based applications, not just using AI tools.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. SAP ABAP Cloud Development

• Design and develop SAP ABAP Cloud applications with AI capabilities.
• Build SAP extensions using RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
• Work with event-driven and cloud-native application architectures.
• Develop clean, reusable, and testable ABAP code.
• Integrate SAP applications with AI services and enterprise APIs.

2. Generative AI, LLM & Agentic AI Integration

• Develop and implement Agentic AI workflows using tools, planners, memory, and orchestration.
• Integrate LLMs, embeddings, and RAG pipelines with SAP ABAP Cloud services.
• Design prompts, grounding strategies, fallback logic, and safety controls.
• Build AI-powered solutions for SAP business processes.

3. Data, Retrieval & Context Management

• Build retrieval pipelines using SAP and non-SAP data sources.
• Work with business objects, CDS Views, documents, and events.
• Implement chunking, indexing, embeddings, and context assembly.
• Ensure AI-generated responses are accurate, traceable, and explainable.

4. Quality, Security & Performance

• Implement AI evaluation frameworks for testing AI behavior.
• Build security controls for authorization, data privacy, and error handling.
• Monitor AI-enabled applications using logging, telemetry, and performance analysis.
• Ensure application reliability, security, and compliance.

5. Development & Implementation

• Develop prototypes and demonstrate solutions regularly.
• Convert AI prototypes into enterprise-ready SAP applications.
• Improve AI prompts, workflows, and orchestration.
• Follow performance, security, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP Cloud.
• Knowledge of RAP, CDS, OData, and Clean Core principles.
• Experience integrating LLMs and AI services into applications.
• Experience building RAG pipelines, embeddings, and contextual retrieval solutions.
• Strong software development fundamentals, including design, testing, and CI/CD.
• Ability to convert business requirements into AI-powered SAP solutions.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with SAP BTP, event-driven architecture, APIs, and cloud services.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI frameworks and orchestration.
• Exposure to vector databases, search, and semantic indexing.
• Understanding of enterprise security, authorization, and compliance.
