SAP ABAP Developer

A leading Melbourne university is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer for a contract from December 2026 to July 2027. The role is hybrid, with 3 days in the office.

The role

• Design, develop, test and support ABAP solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments
• Build reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows
• Develop SOAP and REST services, OData services via SAP Gateway, and middleware integrations
• Develop and extend SAPUI5 and Fiori applications
• Run code reviews and S/4HANA compatibility checks using ATC
• Resolve production issues and maintain technical documentation

About you

• 5+ years as an SAP ABAP Developer
• Strong OO ABAP, ALV, BAdIs and Enhancement Framework, SmartForms, Adobe Forms or SAPscript
• Integration experience with RFC/BAPI, IDocs, XML/JSON, and middleware such as MuleSoft, SAP CPI or Dell Boomi
• SAPUI5, Fiori and SAP Gateway/OData development experience
• Clear communicator, comfortable working with business stakeholders
• Higher education experience is a plus
