SAP Ariba Product Sourcing Consultant / Architect

seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Product Sourcing Consultant / Architect to support a time-sensitive redeployment of SAP Ariba Product Sourcing within the client's existing environment. The current solution requires reconfiguration due to its original implementation, with a focus on aligning the architecture, functionality, and integrations with SAP best practices.

The consultant will serve primarily in an advisory architecture role, providing functional and technical guidance, reviewing designs, troubleshooting Product Sourcing issues, and working closely with the client's internal teams and SAP Product Support. The client's internal teams will be responsible for the build and data cleanup activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and functional architecture guidance aligned with SAP Ariba Direct Material Sourcing best practices.
• Review and validate solution designs, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate direct material sourcing requirements, Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, and supplier workflows.
• Advise on integration approaches between SAP Ariba, PLM/BOM systems, SAP ERP, and internal non-ERP applications.
• Guide integration of BOM, Approved Manufacturer Lists (AML), Item Master, and supplier data required for Product Sourcing functionality.
• Provide architectural guidance for pricing updates between SAP Ariba and ERP/non-ERP systems.
• Troubleshoot SAP Ariba Product Sourcing functionality and integration issues.
• Collaborate directly with SAP Product Support and the client's internal technical teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Identify architectural gaps and recommend solutions that minimize customization and adhere to SAP best practices.
• Support testing, validation, and redeployment activities as needed.

Required Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Ariba Product Sourcing and Direct Material Sourcing.
• Deep understanding of SAP Ariba architecture, configuration, and implementation best practices.
• Experience designing and supporting integrations between SAP Ariba, SAP ERP, PLM, and other enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of BOM structures, AML, Item Master, supplier master data, and sourcing workflows.
• Experience troubleshooting complex SAP Ariba functional and integration issues.
• Ability to review functional and technical design documents and provide actionable recommendations.
• Experience working directly with SAP Product Support to resolve product-related issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with business, functional, and technical stakeholders.

Primary Objective:

Support the successful redeployment of SAP Ariba Product Sourcing by providing expert architectural oversight, validating functional and technical designs, guiding integration decisions, and helping resolve outstanding Product Sourcing issues.
