SAP Basis Administrator (Mid-Level)

The SAP Basis Administrator will work with clients to understand their business requirements, and help design a solution, using their business process knowledge. They will assist clients in the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP Functionality. The goal is to effectively integrate packaged technology into the client’s business environment in order to achieve client expected business results.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is expected to provide expert level business process guidance on SAP requirements and design. This position is expected to support the Basis Lead in managing SAP BASIS requirements in non-production and production environments. This person is responsible for parameter changes, reorganizations, performance, patch application, upgrades and/or availability. In addition, this person must also be able to setup and troubleshoot issues and is required to monitor production on a scheduled basis. This individual must have experience working DoD as well as ERP application infrastructure networks. Other responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

• Design and implement SAP environments and develop creative solutions to meet database performance;
  
• Manage and ensure availability and performance of SAP systems including underlying databases and servers;
  
• Manage Production SAP landscapes;
  
• Lead functional teams/end users to proactively identify, resolve, and eliminate production issues and performance variances;
  
• Understand and manage disaster recovery systems using Oracle Dataguard;
  
• Evaluate and apply updates and patches as required;
  
• Document procedures and system changes;
  
• Monitor and tune SAP performance
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• 1-3 years’ experience in SAP Basis
  
• Should have extensive experience in system maintenance and production support
  
• Should have extensive experience in system builds, Support packs, system refresh, performance tuning
  
• Should have experience in ECC, BI/BW, GRC Basis
  
• Should have experience in Solution Manager 7.2 configuration for Technical monitoring
  
• Should have experience in JAVA Basis
  
• Should have experience in XI/PI basis
  
• Should good knowledge in database admin
  
• Federal experience desired (DoD experience preferred)
  

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree – Required

• No required certifications
  
• SAP, SAFe, CSM certifications desired
  

Other:

• Must be US Citizen
  
• Must have Active DoD Secret clearance or Ability to Obtain it
  
• Willingness to be on-site daily
