What You Do.

Plan and execute SAP installations and upgrades patches by researching technological advancements to ensure solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards by ensuring downtime optimization, regression coordination and post maintenance support. Perform SAP HANA database administration, including installation, replication, backup and recovery, high availability & disaster recovery setup, performance tuning, patch implementation, kernel upgrades, and database health monitoring. Execute homogeneous, heterogeneous system copies, SAP System Builds, installations and SAP client copies ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, and minimal production downtime. Perform SAP security administration, including security role design and maintenance, authorization object configuration, profile management, user provisioning, and compliance audits in accordance with organizational security policies. Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize SAP system performance, database performance to ensure system availability and SLA compliance by performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to maintain high system availability. Provide comprehensive SAP Fiori support, including configuring, managing and maintaining Fiori applications, designing and optimizing user roles and authorizations, and troubleshooting functional and technical issues to ensure seamless user experience and system performance. Develop, implement and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline routine SAP Basis activities, reducing manual operational effort and improving accuracy. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, network, security, and functional consultants to support production releases, system maintenance windows, and enterprise-wide SAP initiatives. Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for SAP systems, ensuring business continuity and compliance with enterprise IT governance standards.

Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have each of the following: (1) 24 months of demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and administering enterprise SAP landscapes including ECC, S/4HANA, SAP PO, SAP FIORI, and SAP BusinessObjects systems across Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments using SAP Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM) and Software Update Manager (SUM); (2) 24 months of demonstrated experience performing SAP HANA database administration, including installation, system replication configuration, backup and recovery setup, performance tuning, patch implementation, kernel upgrades, and database health monitoring using SAP HANA Studio and HANA Cockpit; (3) 24 months of demonstrated experience planning and implementing SAP version upgrades and Enhancement Package upgrades, including sandbox testing, SPAU/SPDD adjustments, SUM execution, downtime optimization, regression coordination, and post-upgrade validation; (4) 24 months of demonstrated experience managing SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) environments, including installation, configuration, patching, promotion management, user access control, CMS database maintenance, and performance optimization; (5) 24 months of demonstrated experience coordinating with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, network, security, and functional consultants to support production releases, system maintenance windows, and enterprise-wide SAP initiatives; and (6) Demonstrated experience in automation of SAP Basis Administration tasks using Python programming.
