Primary Skills
- SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) 4.x: Designer, Management Console, Central Repository
- Building batch jobs, workflows, dataflows, and transforms (Query, Case, Merge, Map_Operation, Table_Comparison, History_Preserving, Key_Generation, Validation)
- Data extraction from SAP (ECC/S/4HANA) using extractors, IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL
- Data quality, cleansing, and profiling using Data Quality transforms
- Performance tuning (parallel execution, bulk loading, DOP, caching)
Secondary Skills
- Scripting in BODS (custom functions, Python user-defined transforms)
- SAP Information Steward and SAP Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM)
- Databases: SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server
- Job scheduling and monitoring (Management Console, Control-M, Autosys)
- Basic understanding of SAP modules (FI, MM, SD) and master data
- Version control and CI/CD basics
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy BODS jobs for data migration and integration projects
- Extract data from SAP and non-SAP sources, transform it per business rules, and load it into target systems
- Build and maintain data validation and reconciliation reports
- Optimize ETL jobs for performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot job failures and resolve production issues within SLA
- Prepare technical specifications, mapping documents, and unit test cases
- Support SIT, UAT, mock loads, and cutover activities
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business teams to understand data requirements.
