SAP BPC Embedded Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

- Planning Model Architecture : Design, build, and optimize SAP BPC Embedded models and architectures using BW Integrated Planning (BW-IP).

- Logic & Formula Development : Develop, test, and maintain custom planning functions, planning sequences, and advanced FOX (Formula Extension) formulas to execute complex business planning logic.

- Data Modeling & Configuration : Configure data models, InfoProviders, aggregation levels, filters, planning functions, and BEx/Analysis for Office planning queries.

- System Integration : Integrate BPC Embedded seamlessly with SAP S/4HANA and SAP BW/4HANA systems to enable real-time financial planning and reporting.

- Performance Optimization : Monitor, diagnose, and optimize query performance, data load processes, and execution speeds of planning sequences.

- Stakeholder & Business Alignment : Collaborate closely with finance, business analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements, translate business processes into technical specifications, and conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

- System Maintenance & Support : Provide technical support, perform root-cause analysis for production issues, and implement preventive enhancements.

Technical & Professional Qualifications :

Required Skills & Experience :

- BPC Embedded & BW-IP : Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BPC Embedded and BW Integrated Planning (BW-IP).

- FOX Formulas & Logic : Strong mastery in writing complex FOX formulas, disaggregation rules, and custom planning functions.

- SAP S/4HANA Integration : Demonstrated experience in integrating BPC with SAP S/4HANA (e.g., S/4HANA Finance, Group Reporting, or Real-Time Consolidation) and SAP BW systems.

- Query & Reporting Tools : Proficient in designing planning queries using BEx Query Designer and SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office (AO).

- Data Architecture : Deep understanding of InfoCubes, DataStore Objects (ADSOs), Composite Providers, Aggregation Levels, and Slice/Filter concepts.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills :

- Consolidation Knowledge : Exposure to BPC Financial Consolidations or SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting.

- ABAP for BW/BPC : Familiarity with ABAP OO development for custom BW-IP exit functions or user exits.

- SAC Integration : Awareness or hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) integration with BPC Embedded.
