SAP BW & Analytics

Key Responsibilities

• Extract raw data from SAP BW, ECC, and S/4HANA using BW extractors, CDS Views, Open ODS, and other relevant SAP interfaces.
  
• Design, develop, and implement robust ETL processes within SAP BW/BW4HANA, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and performance.
  
• Designing and supporting data integration solutions that extract SAP BW/S4 data into Hyperscaler platforms—primarily Google Cloud BigQuery.
  
• Perform comprehensive data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and enrichment to maintain high data quality.
  
• Develop advanced SQL queries and scripts to retrieve, validate, and analyze large volumes of SAP transactional and master data.
  
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into precise technical specifications in BW and analytics platforms.
  
• Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical models using SAC, SAP BusinessObjects (WebI/IDT), BEx Queries, and Power BI.
  
• Maintain and optimize existing BW data models, transformations, and reporting solutions for long-term scalability.
  
• Troubleshoot data inconsistencies, extractor issues, transformation errors, and reporting defects proactively across SAP and cloud layers.
  
• Document technical designs, business rules, data models, and integration flows comprehensively for knowledge sharing.
  
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in BW/4HANA, Embedded Analytics, CDS Views, SAP Data sphere, and cloud data integration.
  

Critical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Analytics, or a related field.
  
• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW, BW on HANA, and BW/4HANA.
  
• Proven experience with ETL development within SAP BW, including InfoProviders, CompositeProviders, Transformations, DTPs, AMDP routines, etc.
  
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and validation processes.
  
• Expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), BOBJ, BEx, and working knowledge of Power BI.
  
• Good exposure to SAP functional modules: FI, CO, SD, MM, PS.
  
• Advanced SQL skills for complex data querying and analysis.
  
• Strong ABAP experience, especially in extractor enhancements, routines, AMDP logic, and data-related custom code.
  
• Hands-on experience integrating SAP data with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud BigQuery; Azure/AWS exposure is a plus).
  
• Practical knowledge of CDS Views, Embedded Analytics, and HANA-native modeling.
  
• Nice to have: SAP Data sphere, SAP BDC, or experience with additional BI tools.
  
• Relevant SAP certifications (BW/4HANA, HANA, SAC, Data sphere) are advantageous.
