SAP Central Finance (CFIN) Project Manager

Project Manager leading an SAP Central Finance (CFIN) workstream within a long-term finance transformation programme, managing scope, budget, risks, and coordinating cross-functional teams around CFIN design, data replication, integration and cutover.
Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong, hands-on expertise in SAP Central Finance (CFIN) to join a long-term transformation programme.
This is not a general Project Manager position. A very good understanding of CFIN processes, architecture and implementation dependencies is the key requirement. The successful candidate must be able to confidently manage the project while also understanding the functional and technical discussions around SAP Central Finance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of an SAP Central Finance workstream within a complex transformation programme.
- Manage the project plan, scope, milestones, budget, risks and dependencies.
- Coordinate business, finance, SAP functional, technical and data teams.
- Drive activities related to CFIN design, source-system integration, data replication, mapping, reconciliation, testing and cutover.
- Identify CFIN-specific risks and challenge project teams based on practical implementation knowledge.
- Facilitate workshops and translate complex topics into clear decisions and actions.
- Manage stakeholders and provide transparent reporting on progress, risks and dependencies.
- Ensure alignment between the CFIN solution and the programme’s finance transformation, reporting, consolidation and standardisation objectives.
Required experience
- Strong practical knowledge of SAP Central Finance (CFIN) - this is the most important requirement.
- Proven experience managing SAP CFIN implementations or major CFIN workstreams.
- A solid understanding of end-to-end CFIN processes, including data replication, mapping, reconciliation, integration and testing.
- Strong project management experience gained in complex SAP or finance transformation programmes.
- Ability to engage effectively with both senior business stakeholders and SAP functional and technical teams.
- Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Professional fluency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA finance transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation and finance process standardisation.
- Experience working in large, international programme environments.
