SAP EPPM Consultant (Enterprise Project & Portfolio Management)

About the Role

Al Shirawi / Oasis Investment Company is driving a group-wide digital transformation through RISE with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition. The conglomerate operates across Contracting & MEP Services, Engineering & Industrial Solutions, Manufacturing, Real Estate Development, and Logistics.

We are hiring a Senior / Lead SAP EPPM Consultant to spearhead the Enterprise Project & Portfolio Management track. This role combines hands-on S/4HANA design and configuration with business process transformation, stakeholder leadership, and delivery governance across diverse project-driven operating companies.

Key Responsibilities

1. S/4HANA EPPM Solution Architecture & Configuration

• Configure and deploy SAP Project Systems (PS): Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Networks, Activities, Milestones, and Project Profiles tailored for EPC, Contracting, and Manufacturing projects.
• Implement Commercial Project Management (CPM) in S/4HANA for project-based revenue recognition (IFRS 15 / POC), progress billing, and real-time margin analysis.
• Configure Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) workflows, resource capacity planning, and executive portfolio dashboards.
• Establish robust project cost controls, including budget availability control, plan/actual/commitment tracking, earned value analysis, and progress-based settlements.
• Drive project capitalization and cost integration with Real Estate Management (RE-FX) for property development initiatives.

2. Cross-Module Integration & Technical Governance

• Ensure tight integration between EPPM/PS and core modules:
• FI/CO: Results analysis, project settlement, revenue recognition.
• MM: Project-driven procurement, subcontracting, and material reservations.
• SD: Sales orders, milestone billing, and customer project billing.
• PM & HR: Maintenance orders linked to projects and project resource allocation.
• Define and govern project master data standards across operating companies (WBS coding structures, network templates, settlement profiles).
• Author and review functional specifications (RICEFW) for custom enhancements, oversee SIT/UAT cycles, and secure business sign-offs.

3. Delivery Governance & Change Enablement

• Serve as the functional lead for the EPPM workstream, governing hybrid onshore/offshore implementation teams, system integrators, and key users.
• Lead business process re-engineering to migrate business units from legacy tools/spreadsheets to standard S/4HANA best practices.
• Formulate user enablement frameworks, super-user training tracks, and post-go-live hypercare governance.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Core Experience: 810+ years of dedicated SAP PS/EPPM consulting experience with at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Domain Exposure: Deep background in EPC, contracting, MEP, construction, or heavy engineering environments.
• Financial Accounting for Projects: Thorough knowledge of IFRS 15 revenue recognition, Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting, progress-based billing, and retention management.
• Commercial Project Management: Demonstrated hands-on configuration or functional delivery in S/4HANA CPM.
• Mobility: Open to travel to Dubai / UAE as required by transformation milestones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with GCC/UAE contracting and commercial practices.
• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Project Systems / EPPM.
• Experience integrating SAP PS with SAP RE-FX or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Legacy migration experience from Oracle EBS, Primavera, or custom PM tools to SAP S/4HANA.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project governance certification.
