Description

Pearl Group is a leading SAP partner in the Nordics and Baltics, delivering ERP, ecommerce and fintech solutions to more than 240 customers. Since 2006, we have helped companies succeed through high competence, leading technology and deep business understanding. We aim to be more than a supplier: a long-term partner that takes an active role in our customers’ growth.

We are more than 500 experts across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Poland and Singapore. We are driven by our customers’ success and our core values: enthusiastic, proactive, solution oriented and collaborative.

Pearl is growing, and our ERP business is building a strong project management team in Oslo, Stockholm or Gothenburg. Our projects range from new SAP S/4HANA implementations in public cloud and private cloud, to migrations and conversions from SAP ECC, and further development of existing S/4HANA solutions on premise. We also deliver extended solutions such as SAP EWM, Business Technology Platform and Data & Analytics, for customers in industries such as manufacturing, retail, wholesale, consumer products, life sciences and utilities.

About the role

As a Senior SAP ERP Project Manager at Pearl, you take full responsibility for your projects, both delivery and commercial. You own the customer contract from handover from sales and are accountable for delivering within the agreed scope, time, quality and budget. You are the customer’s primary point of contact and work directly with decision makers, from project team to steering committee.

Beyond leading your own deliveries, you act as an advisor to customers and colleagues in early phases, estimation and bid work, and help strengthen project management as a discipline in Pearl. You work according to Pearl’s delivery methodology, the Pearl Gold Standard, built on SAP Activate, and contribute to its further development.

Responsibilities

  • Own the customer contract and ensure delivery follows the agreed scope and commercial terms.

  • Hold full responsibility for project financials: budget, forecasting, time tracking, invoicing and profitability.

  • Manage change through formal change control, and lead the commercial conversations with the customer on deviations and additional orders.

  • Build and own the project plan, managing progress, dependencies and milestones across SAP Activate phases.

  • Plan and secure resources with line managers, and lead cross-functional teams of functional, technical and integration consultants.

  • Lead key workstreams such as fit-to-standard, data migration, integrations, testing, cutover, go-live and hypercare.

  • Identify, assess and manage risk continuously, and escalate in time both internally and towards the customer.

  • Report status to the customer’s steering committee and to Pearl management.

  • Contribute to bids with estimates, delivery plans and risk assessments.

  • Coach less experienced project managers and contribute to a strong delivery culture.

About you

  • Solid experience as a project manager with full commercial responsibility for SAP ERP customer projects, ideally from the vendor or consulting side. This would normally be 6 years or more. With fewer years, we will still consider you if you can show substantial scope and complexity, ownership of contracts and project financials, and reporting to steering committees. We will also consider candidates with comparable experience from other ERP platforms.

  • A track record of at least 2 to 3 ERP implementations or migrations, preferably SAP.

  • Good understanding of end-to-end business processes such as order to cash, procure to pay, plan to produce or record to report. Hands-on experience from a business or process role is a strong advantage.

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA in private or public cloud, and a good understanding of SAP Activate, is preferred.

  • Used to direct customer contact at management level and able to handle demanding conversations.

  • Experience with structured methods such as PMI, PRINCE2 or agile frameworks.

  • Fluent in Norwegian or Swedish and in English.

  • Willing to travel to customers in Scandinavia when the project requires

Nice to have

  • Project management certification, for example PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner, and SAP Activate certification.

  • Experience with RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP or system conversion (brownfield) projects.

  • Experience with implementation of other SAP solutions.

  • Experience from presales and bid work.

We offer

  • Competitive compensation and benefits

  • An international environment with offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo, Sandefjord, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Riga, Gdansk and Singapore

  • Great working environment
