SAP FI Business Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong functional and technical expertise in SAP FI (Financial Accounting) to join our SAP team. This person will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the SAP technical team: gathering and analyzing business requirements and designing and building the corresponding SAP solutions. Working knowledge of SAP Logistics (MM/SD) is a strong plus, supporting integrated, end-to-end process design across Finance and Logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from Finance and related stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and SAP FI solution designs.
• Configure and customize SAP FI: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting.
• Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend best-practice, scalable solutions.
• Design and support integration between FI and other modules (MM, SD).
• Lead or support testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT) for FI-related changes.
• Provide functional support for incidents and service requests.
• Collaborate with developers on custom developments, interfaces, and enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain functional and technical specification documentation.
• Support SAP FI rollouts, upgrades, Data Migration and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and support end users on new functionalities.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Solid experience as a SAP FI Business Analyst / Consultant, including at least one full implementation or rollout cycle.
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP FI: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting.
• Technical/configuration expertise within SAP FI (customizing, organizational structure, account determination, etc.).
• Understanding FI integration points with other core modules.
• Proven ability to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into robust SAP solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable interfacing with both business and technical teams.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of SAP Logistics modules (MM and/or SD).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps.
• Exposure to e-Invoicing process.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot ABAP code (not full development).
• Experience working with ITSM/ticketing tools (e.g., Jira Service Management).
• SAP certification in the FI module.
