SAP FI Joint Venture Accounting

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP FI / Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) Support Consultant to provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, and maintain the stability of SAP financial applications. The role focuses on incident resolution, root cause analysis, configuration changes, testing, and continuous improvement while ensuring critical financial processes meet service-level commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Support: Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP FI and JVA production incidents within established SLAs.

• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate recurring issues, identify underlying causes, and recommend permanent corrective actions.

• Incident Prioritization: Assess business impact and prioritize incidents affecting critical financial operations.

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with SAP Basis, ABAP, Integration, and Security teams to resolve technical and functional issues.

• Interface and Job Monitoring: Monitor interfaces, batch jobs, workflows, and data replication related to FI/JVA processes.

• Configuration and Enhancements: Evaluate and implement approved configuration changes, minor enhancements, and process improvements.

• Functional Documentation: Prepare functional specifications for development requirements and maintain process documentation and knowledge articles.

• Testing and Validation: Perform functional testing and validate system fixes and approved changes.

• Financial Close Support: Provide support during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.

• Application Monitoring: Monitor application health, identify potential issues proactively, and help prevent service disruptions.

• Service Reporting: Track and report support metrics, incident trends, and service improvement opportunities.

• On-Call Support: Participate in the on-call rotation as required.

Must-Have Skills

• SAP Financial Accounting (SAP FI) – Strong functional knowledge and production support experience.

• SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) – Experience supporting JVA processes and resolving related production issues.

• SAP Production Support – Incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and SLA compliance.

• Functional Configuration and Testing – Experience assessing configuration changes, validating fixes, and supporting enhancements.

• Financial Close Support – Understanding of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience coordinating with SAP Basis, ABAP, Integration, and Security teams.

• Knowledge of SAP interfaces, batch jobs, workflows, and data replication.

• Experience preparing functional specifications and technical documentation.

• Familiarity with application monitoring, support metrics, and continuous improvement practices.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant SAP functional support experience.

• Hands-on experience supporting SAP FI and Joint Venture Accounting in a production environment.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage incidents based on business impact and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to participate in on-call support and support critical financial closing periods.
