Role Overview

We are seeking a senior SAP FI/CO Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation, configuration, data migration, and financial reconciliation.

The consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing finance solutions, managing profit center, segment, and cost center reorganizations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data throughout migration and transformation initiatives.

This role requires direct engagement with finance stakeholders, ownership of functional deliverables, and practical experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud finance configuration. The consultant will also collaborate with architecture, engineering, and business teams to support AI-enabled SAP modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP FI/CO Configuration and Solution Design

• Design and configure SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling solutions, including the chart of accounts, ledgers, currencies, company codes, and controlling objects.
• Manage profit center, segment, and cost center reorganizations and assess their impact on financial reporting.
• Work with the Universal Journal, period-end closing, and margin analysis.
• Configure General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Controlling functionalities.

2. SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

• Perform hands-on finance configuration in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud using SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC).
• Configure company codes and relevant organizational structures.
• Conduct fit-to-standard workshops and follow Public Cloud configuration and extensibility guidelines.

3. Finance Data Migration and Reconciliation

• Own migration activities for general ledger balances, open items, fixed assets, and controlling master data.
• Define data mapping, migration sequencing, mock loads, and validation procedures.
• Perform pre-migration validation and post-migration reconciliation.
• Reconcile financial balances by company code and accounting period, investigate discrepancies, and document results.
• Establish reconciliation methodologies, tolerance thresholds, and formal sign-off criteria.

4. SAP Integration and Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Support integration with SAP SD, MM, and PP, including account determination, valuation, and settlement processes.
• Collaborate with finance architects, technical teams, and business stakeholders to resolve functional issues.
• Assess the impact of organizational changes on financial postings, reporting, and controlling processes.

5. Client Engagement and Delivery

• Lead workshops with controllers, accounting teams, and finance owners.
• Present solution designs, risks, dependencies, and implementation trade-offs.
• Manage functional issues through resolution and obtain stakeholder approval.
• Maintain clear documentation and coordinate deliverables across geographically distributed teams.

6. AI and Automation

• Support the adoption of AI-powered tools and automation in SAP finance transformation.
• Define requirements and acceptance criteria for automated solutions.
• Validate AI-generated or automated outputs against SAP data models, tables, and actual business data.
• Identify opportunities to improve validation, reconciliation, and finance transformation processes.

Required Technical Skills

• SAP FI: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, bank accounting, payment programs, and period-end closing.
• SAP CO: Cost center accounting, profit center accounting, internal orders, product costing, and margin analysis.
• SAP S/4HANA: Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, financial data structures, and S/4HANA transformation.
• SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud: Hands-on finance configuration using CBC, organizational configuration, and fit-to-standard implementation.
• Organizational Reorganization: Profit center, segment, and cost center changes, hierarchy updates, balance carryforward, and mid-year adjustments.
• Data Migration: Master data, GL balances, open items, fixed assets, data mapping, mock loads, and reconciliation.
• Integration: SAP FI integration with SD, MM, and PP.
• AI/Automation: Practical experience using AI or automation tools for SAP-related activities, with demonstrable tasks and outcomes.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP FI/CO configuration experience.
• Recent hands-on SAP FI/CO experience within the last 2–3 years.
• At least one SAP ECC-to-SAP S/4HANA conversion or implementation project.
• Mandatory: Hands-on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Finance configuration experience on at least one project.
• Strong experience in finance data migration, financial validation, and reconciliation.
• Demonstrated experience delivering SAP projects for international clients.
• At least one practical example of AI or automation applied to SAP-related work, including the tool used, task performed, and outcome achieved.
• Experience conducting client workshops and working directly with finance stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with profit center or segment reorganizations.
• Knowledge of SAP Group Reporting and intercompany processes.
• Experience with ERP consolidation, global template rollouts, or multi-entity implementations.
• Exposure to greenfield, brownfield, and selective data transition approaches.
• SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting or Management Accounting certification.
