SAP Functional Consultant/Business Analyst

solutions to the federal government. Genesis Consulting is leading an advanced
financial management transformation at one of the largest federal civilian
agencies that implement programs designed to mitigate the significant risks of
farming through crop insurance, conservation programs, farm safety net
programs, lending, and disaster programs. The program encompasses integrating
dozens of mission critical financial applications to a modern SAP application operating
in a FedRamp Certified cloud, while reengineering business process, with the
proper internal controls and educating the impacted users and organizations on
the future digital platform.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
The SAP Functional Consultant
will be responsible for exploring the needs of the people and systems that will
use SAP, and design solution processes that enable the to-be design. The ideal
candidate will bring SAP expertise and modern skills around Product Management
in an Agile environment, specifically supporting federal financial applications.
- Support creation of SAP posting
models to achieve USSGL compliant transactions
- Construct program journey maps
to understand the lifecycle of a financial business event from program
application initiation to posting in SAP, including any manual steps, and final
output to customer (Farmer/Rancher)
- Support the creation of Features
as defined by SAFe and assist in tracking from creation to delivery through the
source system of Jira
- Assist with preparation and
facilitation of feature refinement, operating largely at the program level,
while engaging teams at times to refine artifacts to support working software
- Assist legacy system architects
in assessing architectural challenges and providing options and recommendations
for implementing financial business processes in SAP
- Support the creation of
preliminary SAP configuration guides
- Assist teams in creating story
maps (based on PdM features) to inform the development of possible features for
further research and user stories
- Assist with continuously testing
features against acceptance criteria and possible MVP iteratively, to ensure
features meet acceptance criteria and work together seamlessly across PIs
- Document the organization(s) and
operating procedure(s) impacted by the re-engineered business process(es), the
way they’re impacted, the updated operating procedure(s), and role(s) required
to implement
Requirements
Minimum
Qualifications/Experience:
- 3-5 years of SAP Federal Financial implementation experience
in Business Analyst role(s)
- Experience documenting SAP Business process models
- Experience with SAP Federal Posting models to achieve
USSGL compliant financial transactions
- Experience writing Customer journey and program
journey maps to understand needs of users (people and systems)
- Experience documenting Feature (Program) Backlog to
define required capabilities of solution SAP architectural recommendations to
explore options for supporting financial processes
- Knowledge of SAP configuration to support solutions
and documentation
- Experience facilitating Organizational impact
assessment of SAP financial processes
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, oral and
written communication skills
- Ability to write technical, business, and plain
language documents and/or emails, with great attention to detail in all written
communications
- Ability to work on multiple projects as a project
team member, occasionally as a project leader
