SAP Inventory Management/Materials Management Subject Matter Expert

Inventory Management/Materials Management SME with a passion for growth and
business transformation for a public sector client in the Metro Washington, DC area. Join

Duties and
Responsibilities:
The SAP Inventory Management/Materials Management SME will
be responsible for delivery of technology/process deliverables focused on the
SAP MM module. This role uses consulting skills, business knowledge, and
solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the
client’s business. The SME will understand, establish and manage the scope
& quality of the areas of their responsibility. Responsibilities include
but may not be limited to:
- Material Master, BOMs (Engineering, Manufacturing,
and Equipment), and Document Info Records, aligning Material Master attributes
with other stakeholders (Quality, Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, Manufacturing, etc.)
- Warehouse and Inventory management,
cycle counting, physical inventory, stock transport orders, (STOs), transfer
orders, individual and collective material items, consignment inventory,
replenishment schemes (min/max, re-order point, safety stock)
- Dispatch using shipping networks
- Functional specialist and SME in MM, WM
& IM
- Writing BRD, FRS, FRD
- Performing configuration changes
- Unit testing
- Involved in other forms of testing
- ABAP debugging and analysis with
developers
- Involved in RIFECW process
Requirements
Minimum
Qualifications/Experience:
- Broad experience using or implementing SAP S4/HANA, SAP ECC 6.0 Inventory Management / MM
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a
related field
- Minimum of 10 years professional experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for issue identification,
assist with root cause analysis of the issue
and potential issue resolution within the template to be implemented - Strong experience in business process analysis and redesign
- Must be a team player and be able to build consensus with others
- Ability and discipline to self-manage assignments to meet deadlines,
scope and budget
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills - Ability to work individually, as a member of a functional team, and
part of a global team
- Experience with at least three full lifecycle SAP implementation and
roll out projects including: planning, testing, migration reconciliation,
training, and post-production support
- Experience in the Federal and Public Sector preferred
- 5+ years plus working experience with SAP or variant in a hands on
project environment,
- Expert level understanding of the SAP product suite,
- Extensive experience with SAP configuration, including workflows,
validation rules, and security controls
- Experience defining business requirements, writing functional design
documentation,
- Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape,
- Experience in designing SAP software components,
- Experience integrating SAP with different business systems, as well as
working with integration tools
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Required
Required Certifications:
- SAP
Ariba certification preferred
- SAP, Agile,
SAFe certifications desired
Other:
- Must be US Citizen
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred,
or ability to obtain it
- Willingness to be on-site 3+ days each week
