Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U ABAP Developer to join our IT Services team. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain robust custom solutions specifically tailored for the Utilities sector using the SAP IS-U industry solution. This position is critical for ensuring seamless functionality across both SAP and external non-SAP environments, driving operational efficiency and supporting complex business processes within the utility domain.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement object-oriented ABAP (OOABAP) solutions to meet specific business requirements for the SAP IS-U module.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, RFCs, BAPIs, and Proxies to facilitate robust data exchange between systems.
- Execute complex integrations connecting SAP platforms with various non-SAP applications and legacy systems.
- Leverage SAP OData Services and the SAP Gateway to build modern, service-oriented interfaces for internal and external consumption.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Utilities industry solution, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business needs into technical specifications and deliverables.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in SAP development, with a strong focus on the Utilities industry.
- Proven expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) programming and design patterns.
- Deep understanding of SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) and its specific functional requirements.
- Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs, RFCs, BAPIs, and Proxies.
- Hands-on experience with SAP OData Services and the SAP Gateway framework.
- Demonstrated capability in integrating SAP systems with diverse non-SAP environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced IT Services environment delivering high-quality code.
