Job Summary:

Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking SAP MM/MRP/PP Consultant with a passion for growth and business transformation. Join our team and utilize SAP technology to configure, develop, deliver and support applications for our clients while leveraging concepts of Lean, Agile, Kanban and SAFe. The SAP MM/MRP/PP Consultant will be responsible for delivery of technology/process deliverables focused on the SAP MM, MRP and PP modules. This role uses consulting skills, business knowledge, and solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the client’s business. They will understand, establish and manage the scope & quality of the areas of their responsibility. The consultant is expected to provide guidance for design alternatives; communicate with his/her team and across other functional & technical teams of the project; surfacing, documenting & resolving issues in a timely basis; coaching & setting expectations for area of responsibility, establishing priorities, and documenting potential scope changes that may impact project budget & timetable.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge of demand and forecasting processes and production order scheduling and purchasing impacts and interpretation of MRP proposals
  • Ability to perform simulation capabilities of MRP to look at various scenarios driven by changes in the supply chain
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SAP MM functions including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, planning horizons, forecasting, and demand planning.
  • Provide functional and technical support including configuration in SAP MM and MRP applications.
  • Engage the internal business customers and project team by holding customer workshops to seek continuous improvements in business processes and system settings to optimize performance
  • Support and maintain the SAP production environment by providing governance over the design and configuration of defects, solving end user problems, answering module-related questions, and testing/validating functionality
  • Responsible for unit testing, integration and regression testing, including build test cases, perform tests, and make changes to configuration or processes based on results
  • Develop and administer user support documentation and provide training and coaching to end-users, guiding the business on the appropriate use of the SAP system
  • Translation of complex business concepts and processes to SAP flows
  • Post Go-Live support
  • Customer training and coaching
  • System configuration/data/solution design and customizing synchronization (build)
  • Testing (unit, integrated, user acceptance) and analysis on user adoption and areas for improvement
  • Business process optimization
  • Data Cleanup, Master Data usage and settings

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • 5-7+ years of full lifecycle SAP experience and familiarity with SAP ECC 6.0
  • 5+ years of experience working with SAP MM, MRP, PP, Master Data
  • 5+ years consulting and configuration implementation experience
  • At least 5+ full cycle implementations
  • Experience with High Tech and/or Automotive industries is preferred
  • Knowledge in all phases of development and deployment lifecycle
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work side by side with users

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED – Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred

Required Certifications:

  • SAP Certifications are preferred

Other:

  • US Citizen preferred, with ability to travel internationally
  • Spanish-speaking preferred
  • Willingness to be on-site daily
