A 6-month contract (extension possible) in south-east Melbourne for an SAP S/4HANA MM techno-functional consultant to handle MM configuration, ABAP debugging and Z-development analysis, EDI integrations (POs, order confirmations, ASNs), and ECC-to-S/4HANA data migration and testing within a major transformation program.

This role is ideal for an SAP MM professional who combines strong functional expertise with technical understanding, particularly across ABAP, debugging, EDI integrations and ECC to S/4HANA migration.
About the Role:
You will work across SAP S/4HANA MM, supporting configuration, custom developments, data migration and testing activities. A strong understanding of the technical side of SAP is important, as several MM/LO/LE custom developments have been migrated from ECC to S/4HANA.
You will work closely with functional and technical teams to troubleshoot issues, understand existing Z developments and ensure the successful delivery of MM solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete SAP S/4HANA MM configuration and supporting documentation
- Develop functional specifications and work closely with ABAP developers
- Perform debugging and technical analysis of SAP MM issues
- Support and analyse existing Z developments across MM/LO/LE
- Support EDI integrations, including:
- Purchase Orders
- Order Confirmations
- Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN)
- Support ECC to S/4HANA data migration activities
- Assist with data mapping for MM master and transactional data
- Support migration design for:
- Open Purchase Orders
- Purchase Orders with history
- Inbound Deliveries
- Prepare and execute unit testing
- Support SIT and UAT
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA MM
- Proven experience in a techno-functional SAP MM role
- Strong understanding of EDI integrations
- Experience with Purchase Orders, Order Confirmations and ASN
- Experience supporting SAP data migration, ideally from ECC to S/4HANA
- Strong understanding of ABAP coding and debugging
- Ability to analyse and troubleshoot Z developments
- Experience working across MM/LO/LE custom developments
- Experience preparing functional specifications and technical requirements
- Strong testing experience across unit testing, SIT and UAT
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
