SAP Release Manager

Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, and execution of releases within TÜV SÜD’s SAP system landscape (including release calendar, scope/content, and dependencies)
- Coordination of all parties involved in the release process, including development, consulting, test management, SAP Basis, and external service providers
- Ensuring compliance with defined release, change, and quality management processes
- Organization, moderation, and facilitation of release decisions (Go/No-Go)
- Transparent communication of release contents, risks, dependencies, and timelines to all relevant stakeholders
- Close collaboration with related functions such as Change Management, Test Management, as well as application and service owners
- Ensuring complete and audit-proof documentation of changes, releases, and decisions
- Support and participation in audits, reviews, and continuous process improvements
- Functional management and further development of the demand and release management process, including KPI definition and reporting
- Preparation of decision-making documents for requirement prioritization, as well as escalation management in cases of conflicting objectives, risks, or schedule deviations, including release recommendations

Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (CALM), particularly in transport management
- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, especially transport management, CHARM processes, Cross System Object Lock (CSOL), Retrofit
- 2-3 years of experience in Demand Management, Release Management, Change Management, or IT Service Management
- Strong understanding of ITIL-based processes
- Experience in requirements gathering as well as the creation of functional and technical concepts and specifications
- Experience working in complex SAP system and application landscapes
- Strong communication skills, excellent analytical abilities, a solution-oriented mindset, and good time management combined with enthusiasm for new technologies
- Independent and structured working style, with the willingness to familiarize oneself with diverse business processes and data flows
- Very good German and English language skills
