SAP S/4HANA Carve-Out Project Manager
Summary
Six-month contract (AUD $1,000/day + super) for an SAP Project Manager to run a carve-out and migration of business entities in a healthcare organisation's SAP S/4HANA environment at its Alexandria, Sydney office. Day to day: mapping the SAP landscape, coordinating data extraction, migration, testing and cutover with a specialist partner, and managing executive stakeholders.

The Company
Our client is an established healthcare organisation undergoing significant business transformation.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced SAP Project Manager to support the separation of business entities within its SAP S/4HANA environment.
The Role
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can confidently bridge business and technology, working closely with senior executives, internal stakeholders and a specialist implementation partner to coordinate SAP carve-out and migration activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating SAP S/4HANA carve-out and migration activities across multiple business entities.
- Establishing the existing SAP landscape, including data, configuration, ownership and system dependencies.
- Working directly with technical specialists on data extraction, migration mapping, testing, reconciliation and cutover planning.
- Managing stakeholder engagement, workshops, approvals and key decisions across business and technical teams.
- Identifying and resolving delivery issues, managing risks and ensuring business continuity, financial reporting and audit requirements are addressed.
- Coordinating cutover, hypercare, knowledge transfer and handover to ongoing support teams.
You will be an experienced SAP Project Manager, SAP Transformation Specialist or ERP Project Lead with strong, hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience.
Previous SAP carve-out experience is strongly preferred, with experience supporting business divestments or corporate separations and experience within healthcare also highly regarded.
You will bring:
- Strong technical understanding of SAP S/4HANA environments, data, configuration and migration dependencies.
- Experience delivering complex ERP migrations or separation projects, working alongside specialist technical providers.
- The ability to bridge business and technology, getting into the technical detail while understanding broader commercial and operational implications.
- The credibility and confidence to engage with senior executives, influence decisions and constructively challenge stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with strong judgement and the ability to drive outcomes independently.
- High-profile SAP S/4HANA carve-out and business transformation project.
- Initial six-month contract with potential extension.
