Client's description

Our client is a well-established industrial company based in Vienna, Austria, currently undergoing a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation. As the implementation progresses, the project team is being expanded to ensure key milestones and delivery deadlines are met. This is an opportunity to join an experienced international team and contribute to a business-critical ERP implementation.

Role Overview

For our Client we are looking for a qualified partner for SAP S/4HANA Engineer (m/f/d) position. It is a part-time job, mostly remote but with travels to Vienna.

You will support an ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation project. The role combines hands-on SAP configuration with testing, business collaboration, and validation of migrated data. The project has already completed the workshop and design phases and is currently focused on implementing business processes, configuring the system, supporting data migration activities, and ensuring solution quality through comprehensive testing. You will work closely with the existing SAP implementation team as well as the client's Finance department, helping users understand the solution and ensuring a smooth implementation.

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of hands-on SAP experience.

• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA (experience with SAP ECC/R3 alone is not sufficient).

• Solid knowledge of SAP FI/CO.

• Experience with SAP implementation projects.

• Practical experience with functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Experience validating migrated business data.

• Hands-on approach with willingness to configure and implement solutions, not only design them.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Conversational German (approximately B1/B2 level or equivalent).

• English proficiency

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM (SAP CALM).

• Experience working on ERP migration or transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Configure and implement SAP S/4HANA FI/CO solutions.

• Support the implementation of approved business processes.

• Execute and support functional, integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Validate migrated data from legacy systems and ensure data quality.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during implementation and testing.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and explain SAP functionality in a clear and practical way.

• Participate in workshops, knowledge sharing, and project meetings.

• Work together with the existing SAP project team to help achieve project deadlines.

Project Details

• Start: as soon as possible

• Duration: Initial 9 months with a strong possibility of extension

• Workload: 20–25 hours per week

• Location: Primarily remote with occasional travel to Vienna (expected approximately every two weeks during parts of the project, although the frequency may decrease depending on project needs and team collaboration)

• Project Stage: Active SAP S/4HANA implementation (configuration, testing, and migration validation phase)
