SAP Security Manager

Salary: $150 - $180 per hour including super

• 12 + 12 + 12-month contract - January 2027 Start
• Minimum NV1 Security Clearance required
• Canberra, ACT - Some Work from Home
• EL1 equivalent | Security | GRC | Authorisations | SAP ECC 6.0

Our client, a Federal Government department responsible for promoting and protecting Australia's international interests, security and prosperity, is seeking an experienced SAP Security Manager.

Duties of the SAP Security Manager

• Manage the SAP security model, including roles, authorisations, and workload prioritisation;
• Design, build, test, and implement security solutions to meet business requirements;
• Investigate and resolve security issues in collaboration with business, application, and technical teams;
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen SAP security;
• Provide guidance to the helpdesk team delivering Level 2 SAP Finance support.

Skills and Experience Required

• Demonstrated experience managing SAP security including user access management, role design, HCM user provisioning and authorisation frameworks;
• Strong knowledge of SAP security design, governance, Segregation of Duties (SoD), risk management, and compliance requirements;
• Experience supporting SAP ECC 6 environments, system upgrades, and security-related projects;
• Experience with SAP GRC Access Control and Identity Access Governance solutions.
• Knowledge of Australian Government security policies, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements;
• Understanding of finance business processes and controls within an SAP environment.
