The role requires strong hands‑on software engineering skills across front‑end, back‑end, APIs, cloud and data integration, with a growing specialisation in artificial intelligence, generative AI and automation. The Senior Associate will work as part of a delivery team to build secure, scalable and user‑focused solutions that improve business processes, client delivery and operational efficiency.
This role is suited to a technically strong developer who can own features or smaller workstreams, contribute to solution design, support junior team members and help convert AI ideas into practical, production‑ready solutions.
Key responsibilities Design, build, test and maintain full‑stack web applications. Develop responsive and user‑friendly front‑end interfaces. Build secure and scalable back‑end services, APIs and integrations. Connect applications to databases, enterprise systems, data platforms and third‑party services. Write clean, maintainable and well‑documented code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices. Support deployment, monitoring and production issue resolution. Develop AI‑enabled application features using generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing, intelligent automation and related technologies. Integrate applications with AI platforms, large language models, AI APIs and enterprise data sources. Support the development of AI proof‑of‑concepts, prototypes and minimum viable products. Contribute to retrieval‑augmented generation solutions, prompt engineering and AI workflow design. Work with data specialists to ensure AI solutions use appropriate, secure and reliable data. Test and validate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, usability and risk. Apply responsible AI principles, including human oversight, transparency, privacy and bias awareness. Own assigned user stories, technical tasks or features from design through to deployment. Support technical estimation, sprint planning and delivery tracking. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application stack. Contribute to technical documentation, including design notes, API specifications and deployment guides. Collaborate with developers, data engineers, testers, product owners and business stakeholders. Support continuous improvement of development processes, tooling and delivery standards. Solution design and architecture support Assist in translating business requirements into technical designs. Contribute to application architecture, data flows and integration patterns. Identify opportunities to reuse components, APIs, templates and accelerators. Support technology evaluations and proof‑of‑concept development. Escalate technical risks, dependencies and design concerns to senior technical leads. Security, risk and quality Follow secure coding, data protection and privacy‑by‑design principles. Ensure applications include appropriate authentication, authorisation and access controls. Support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing. Help identify and remediate vulnerabilities, defects and performance issues. Ensure AI and data solutions comply with relevant internal policies, client requirements and responsible AI standards. Escalate risks relating to data leakage, inaccurate AI outputs, model misuse, security or compliance. Collaboration and team contribution Work effectively in agile delivery teams. Support and guide junior developers where required. Share technical knowledge and lessons learned with the wider team. Participate in demos, showcases and technical discussions. Contribute to communities of practice, innovation sessions and reusable asset development. Required experience 3 to 4 years of software development experience, including full‑stack application development. Experience building web applications, APIs and database‑driven solutions. Experience with at least one back‑end development language or framework. Exposure to AI, generative AI, machine learning, automation or data‑driven application development. Experience working in agile teams. Experience with cloud platforms and Dev Ops practices. Experience working with business users, product owners or technical leads to clarify requirements. Experience in consulting, professional services or client delivery environments would be advantageous. Technical skills Front‑end development React, Angular, Vue.js or similar modern front‑end frameworks. Responsive design and reusable UI components. Front‑end testing and debugging. Accessibility and user experience awareness. Back‑end development Node.js, Python, Java,. NET or similar back‑end technologies. REST APIs, Graph QL and microservices. API design and integration. Authentication and authorisation concepts. Server‑side performance and error handling. Data and databases SQL and relational databases. No SQL databases would be advantageous. Data modelling and data integration. Working with structured and unstructured data. Vector databases and embeddings would be advantageous. AI and automation Generative AI and large language model integration. AI APIs such as Azure Open AI, Open AI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI or similar. Prompt engineering and prompt testing. Retrieval‑augmented generation concepts. AI orchestration frameworks such as Lang Chain, Semantic Kernel or similar would be advantageous. Model evaluation, output validation and responsible AI practices. Workflow automation or intelligent automation tools would be advantageous. Cloud and Dev Ops Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform. Git and version control workflows. Docker and container‑based development would be advantageous. Application logging, monitoring and troubleshooting. Infrastructure as code would be advantageous. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline; or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Cloud certification in Azure, AWS or Google Cloud. AI, data science or machine learning certification. Agile or Scrum certification. Secure development or software engineering certification. Strong problem‑solving ability. Interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies. Good understanding of software development principles. Ability to learn new tools, frameworks and platforms quickly. Strong attention to quality and detail. Collaborative and team‑oriented working style. Working Hours and Hybrid ModelThis role requires working the standard office hours of the (territory name) office. During the training period, daily in‑office attendance is required.
