Operates and maintains saw machinery in a manufacturing environment to cut materials according to specifications.
Summary: Set up, adjust, and operate CNC sawing machine to cut metal stock
Essential Function:
- Set up, edit and operate saw to cut material to specified requirements
- Read and understand work orders, cutting lists, blueprints, and other documents
- Recognize and use correct blade type
- Operate forklift, pallet jack, hoist or crane to move materials
- Monitor machine for cutting performance and utilization
- Perform quality inspection using appropriate measuring devices
- Adhere to business management system (BMS), as applicable
- Assist with any other duties as assigned
