Description

Saw Operators will set up and operate equipment to meet customer and internal quality standards.

Essential Functions.

• Set up and operate equipment.
• Load and unload material to/ from saw.
• Cut material as required by prints.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance and good housekeeping
• Report shortages of parts, tools, and materials in a timely manner.
• Responsible for submitting hourly rates.
• Responsible for reporting hourly quality checks and counts in ERP system.
• Use of measuring devices, tape measure and calipers.
• Confers with maintenance and management to resolve manufacturing problems.
• All other duties assigned by Management.

Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Must be a self-starter and dependable worker, who is committed to continuous improvement.
• Mechanical skills reading prints and interpretation.

Requirements

• Must have ability to use hands to lift, grab, grasp, pull, push and feel. The employee is frequently required to stop, kneel, twist.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
