SBT Account Executive
The Benefits Account Executive is responsible the retention and growth of the Select Business Team (SBT) book of business by nurturing, and growing, and developing existing relationships and develop new relationships through marketing leads or with prospects.

- Manages the renewal and remarketing process, which includes gaining a census, completing FormFire, and finalizing all renewal paperwork.
- Identifies opportunities to educate clients additional benefit elections that might be beneficial to their business.
- Effectively manages call-ins, walk-ins, and online new business inquiries by setting meetings, pursuing sales efforts, and closing new business.
- Corresponds with prospective clients to:
- Reviews exposures.
- Analyzes business and insurance needs.
- Develops strategy.
- Makes recommendations.
- Oversees preparation of proposal material, reviews insurance program coverage, and presents proposals to prospective clients.
- Prepares or presents final proposal materials.
- Educates clients on employer portals resources available with individual carriers.
- Facilitates the termination of prior plan once new business is written.
- Explains insurance programs and alternative risk solutions to prospective clients.
- Provides exceptional service to the clients and their employees by answering questions, processing changes, and providing resources.
- Documents detailed client meeting notes or discussions and provides follow-up.
- Supports and adheres to agency goals and objectives to place and retain business with our key companies.
- Supports and adheres to procedures to minimize the agency’s error and omission exposure.
- Establishes and maintains client contacts through participation in community organizations, professional organizations, etc., which serve our clients.
- Participates in training to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Other job duties as assigned.
