Active SC Clearance is preferred but they will consider lapsed The Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to join a multidisciplinary team within a Government Cyber Unit, helping to develop and protect services that are critical to the public. You'll be working as part of a developer team of around 15 people, within a wider team of approximately 50. This is a role for someone who is comfortable working independently while also actively contributing to team discussions, sharing ideas and constructively challenging others when appropriate. The successful candidate will be motivated by the wider purpose of the work and passionate about using technology to help protect government services and the public. Essential Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will have: Strong professional experience with Python. Experience with Python web frameworks, ideally Django. Strong knowledge of modern development tools, including Docker, Git and GitHub. Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience deploying containerised applications. Experience with CI/CD tooling, particularly GitHub Actions and/or AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline. An understanding of cybersecurity and secure-by-design software development. You'll need to be a confident communicator who can work collaboratively, contribute to discussions and bring your own perspective to the team. Interested in hearing more?
