Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Scaffold Manager to lead scaffolding operations on construction and industrial projects in Singapore, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while managing teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee scaffolding operations and execution at project sites to meet schedule, safety, quality, and productivity targets
• Plan and manage manpower, scaffold materials, equipment, and resources efficiently to support project needs
• Coordinate scaffold requirements with Construction, Engineering, Safety, QA/QC, and Client teams to ensure alignment and compliance
• Schedule and supervise daily and weekly scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling activities to maintain workflow continuity
• Ensure scaffolds are erected, inspected, tagged, and maintained according to approved safety and quality standards
• Manage and monitor Scaffold Supervisors, Foremen, and Scaffolders to optimize workforce productivity and performance
• Monitor scaffold material usage to minimize loss and wastage, ensuring cost-effective resource management
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and rectify unsafe scaffolds or practices promptly
• Enforce compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), Work-at-Height, Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements
• Participate in client, construction, safety, and progress coordination meetings to provide updates and resolve issues
• Prepare manpower forecasts, progress reports, and scaffold status reports to support project management and decision-making

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Engineering, Construction, or equivalent
• Valid Scaffold Supervisor Certificate
• Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSS) or equivalent
• Work at Height (WAH) – Manager Level certification
• Risk Management (RM) Leader or Risk Management certification
• Relevant Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and safety certifications

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of scaffolding experience with supervisory or management roles
• Strong expertise in scaffold erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling
• Experience managing Scaffold Supervisors, Foremen, Scaffolders, and large site teams
• Knowledge of scaffolding materials, loading, access requirements, and safe erection practices
• Familiarity with Singapore WSH, Work-at-Height, Risk Assessment, SWP, and PTW regulations
• Experience in Singapore construction or industrial projects
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Power Plant, or major industrial projects is advantageous
• Additional scaffolding-related certifications are a plus
