SCC Database Manager

Salary: £30,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in database management within mission-critical systems environment
• Proficient in Oracle database administration
• Knowledge of RHEL, Solaris, Windows 2012, Windows 2022, and Windows 10
• Strong understanding of change management procedures
• Ability to diagnose and rectify system failures
• Experience with routine data backup and archiving activities
• Familiarity with database change control documentation

Responsibilities:

• Oversee database maintenance and updates
• Perform database maintenance and update activities
• Implement database changes as requested
• Release new databases on the system
• Maintain database change control documentation
• Perform routine data and software backup and archiving activities
• Execute routine system maintenance and housekeeping activities
• Diagnose and rectify system failures
• Re-start subsystems to recover from failures
• Support the Software Manager in system, software and database configuration management activities
